He'll be missed. Options on the left of NI's defence are a Norwich teenager, Millwall benchwarmer and various 'wingbacks' who dont defend.

Quick quiz- match the ex Albion NI star to the anecdote

      Baird, Brunt, Evans, McAuley, McClean

      * late grandad big noise in local UDA

      * signed local MP's nomination papers at last General Election

      * grew up in Belfast's most expensive street

      * his home village so hillbilly people from Larne laugh at it

      * sent off in NI games for 2 bookable fouls 10 seconds apart

Lewis is 20 now, very good on the ball but can't stop the crosses from coming in. Once he gets the hang of that he'll be grand. I hope.

Brief reprise for popular Ultonia spearhead Big Laffertescu- seems he's signed for crack Carpathian challengers FC Sepsi (can ad hoc confirm?

Kyle has had an exotic club career in recent years, bucking the chairman's daughter in every port from Sicily to the Caspian

Alas we've probably seen the last of him for NI- the width of a post in injury time from winning the Slovak play off. Keep er lit big man..

I saw something last night about him being in talks.

Haven;t seen any confirmation that he;s actually signed

Sepsi are the Romanian first division team from a majority Hungarian area (just down the road), pointedly using a Hungarian name for the team, though most of the players are I think ethnically Romanian, as is the manager (though the chairman and board are local Hungarians). Partially funded by FIDESZ, sadly, otherwise they'd be a great story.
