No big teams here - Conference South 2014-15

Thanks to all your encouraging words, I'm off to QPR v Sunderland instead. Way to support non-league football, lads.

Adding to Borehamwood's villain status, they have banned Bath City Internet Radio from broadcasting from their ground today.

The non-radio-allowing arseholes lost at home to us and our first win of the season. Karma (or irony, I forget which)

See, why go and do that?

A much more standard looking record now, 2-2-2.

So, the team is called Boreham Wood but the town (which used to be called that) is now called Borehamwood?

When and why did the town change it's name and why didn't the club follow suit, apart from good sense?

This league proving rather tougher than the Ryman. Four draws and a defeat see us four places off the bottom. Goalless at much-fancied Ebbsfleet yesterday. They were reduced to ten, then had their penalty saved and both sides missed one chance each but it was not pretty. Locals unimpressed.

Fleet are full time apparently with 23 professionals and are backed by a Kuwaiti Holdings company. Crowd of 900 yesterday. Warms the heart this innocent non-league football huh.
For a second I misread that and thought that Fleet Town had gone pro- now that would be madness.

For some reason Ronaldinho has decided not to join Basingstoke, in favour of a move to Mexican side Queretaro.

Well, that was fucking shit. Whitehawk got a goal against the run of play first half after a freak deflection off one of their players' face. From then on, they were rolling around on the floor like they had been shot for every tackle.

We then let in three more goals in the second half in pretty much the time it took for me to get out of the bar. We got a consolation penalty but 4-1 flattered us. The worst thing is is that there are plenty saying that Whitehawk were far better than us when they were OK. We made them look good in the second half. They are bigger and stronger than us but every team always has been ever since I have been watching City.

We have a relegation six-pointer to play on Tuesday (already!) and have many better teams than Whitehawk to play still.

Delighted with the win over Wealdstone - best crowd for a league match for some time and an important win to hopefully get some momentum going.

Scott McGleish is probably still a bit miffed that this effort was ruled out...

Pondering it along with a few other live matches and might even watch the Wales game but a few of the usual suspects are actually out for the Andorra fixture (Barcelona in early Spetember being quite a pull, I think).

November 1st at home to Maidenhead appears to be The Official 1927 Club Wealdstone Visit this season.

                              .

Not much to say about the match today as Bishops Stortford, like Borehamwood a couple of weeks ago, are acting the pricks and not letting our internet radio lads broadcast.

After awful defeats to Bath and Concord in last week and at the tenth time of asking, The Wealdstone Football Club have won a game of football! 1-0 at Whitehawk (who have still got no faans, but do now have a ground - the Withdean Stadium dismantled and reassembled somewhere in East Brighton).

                                    We're still bottom mind.

The Whitehawk Chairman's programme notes from that game:

Life presents us with choices and the actions we take as a result of those choices shape our lives. We have all made bad choices, and as a result of those bad choices, have taken actions that have either, curtailed those poor choices, or taken us further down the path of where the bad options lead.

I'm sure we would all agree that the sooner the poor choices are identified, the sooner these choices can be rectified. A plan of action would generally be put in place to stabilize a bad choice from getting out of control. As the term suggests a prioritized action plan would comprise, tasks assigned to individuals to complete tasks by a certain date. Not completed or partially completed tasks lead to the action plan being delayed, or changed, resulting in further prioritised actions, which may continue to be delayed or changed, until, ultimately resolved. Subtle changes may have potentially dramatic results.

Resolution of these tasks enables the initial or modified choice to be assessed and continually re-assessed , against the plan, which resulted from the original choice.

We all have many choices in life, but only one life. Always try to ensure your life choices have quantifiably advantageous affects on those you care for: family, friends, employers and co-workers. Also attempt to be open and honest in all your dealings, as choices and resulting actions may have tsunami scale consequences, which once initiated, may be difficult to turn around. Choices are infinite- Life unfortunately is not.
