So, the Tánaiste is on the political brink tonight, as the on-off Maurice McCabe scandal, (which has already brought down two Ministers for Justice, two Garda Commissioners, and a Taoiseach) re-intensifies. SF has put down a motion of no-confidence and FF is talking tough for now, but the greater likelihood is that they will abstain, rather than provoke a Christmas election.
