iPad/proxy/BBC online coverage abroad advice

I'm sure this kind of thing has been covered before but, amongst other things, I want to watch the BBC online coverage of the Athletics Worlds in Portugal later in the month.

Is this kind of thing possible now? I've seen proxy blocker apps that purport to offer it but no evidence that they are reliable.

Found it, it's called ibVPN.

Six months cost me 7€ which was very reasonable. But they have a free trial, so you don't have to take my word for it.

I watched the men's tennis final on it the other week. Worked fine, but it was a bit choppy, probably due to the sheer number of other people trying to watch it.

It's usually pretty decent. You can't download the iPlayer app, because of country restrictions, but you can still watch stuff through the browser. Unfortunately there's no option to AirPlay it to my TV.
