So, got new rear shocks for the car on Saturday.

This Saturday I'm having the rustproofing done.

    Had the furnace repaired, too.

    Anyone get new shoelaces?

i turned 30 the other day.

went out and got me haircut, but too short. looks like the kind of thing you'd see on an 8 year-old, or tintin.

tried to buy some strides and all, before i remembered i live in the netherlands and all the clothing is a) really expensive, b) fucking atrocious. almost got over myself and bought some cords, but they were much too sharply tapered for a man of my build.

Bought a new lightbulb for my room today. One of those energy saving ones. It's alright. Oiled my bike chain and reinflated the tyres too.

I've saved the excitement of changing a lightbulb for Saturday. It'll be the highlight. Other than that, it's buying some insurance, collecting some dry cleaning and possibly writing a couple of early Christmas cards to send overseas. It's a high old life.

I'm within one box full's sight of the end of the line of digitising my vinyl collection.

Most idle moments at work are spent bidding on cd versions up to a certain price limit, beyond that I digitise them with a usb turntable I bought. And browse Oxfam and the one branch of the entertainment exchange that still stocks cds.

Mildly diverting hobby. What we'll do with the space left behind by 1000s of albums, remains to be seen.

I genuinely thought I was having a heart attack Monday morning but it turned out to be Oesophagitis. #relief

A guy who has developed a cricket video analysis app for iPod has asked for my views on improvements I would like to see in 2.0. So now I have to spend the rest of the morning learning how to use it, so that I can email my response this afternoon.

In a moment of madness I promised to give some of my treasured collection of '70's and '80's vinyl dance music to a Manchester based D.J. If I find the mental strength the handover will be Saturday afternoon.

I too had a haircut yesterday, also a touch shorter than recent ones have been.

Mrs. Sits and I have had a piece of fruit cake each and just finished a pot of tea. I can't decide whether to brew another, or just have a glass of water.

    This is living!

Yes, in the summer I was convinced I was having a heart attack so I left the office and stood out on the street just in case. Turns out I had a cracked rib.

funny that, the burglar alarm in our place went off this morning - rumour was that a macaque had broken in, but it turned out to be just... a man-drill.

There was a bit of a hold up on the bus this morning as it was going past that Tesco Metro that's taken over the Apollo on Pinner Road. There was a JCB sort of parked on the pavement, surrounded by police blue-and-white tape. As we went on, there was a big hole in the front of the Tesco. Obviously someone'd decided that rather than withdraw money from the ATM, they'd just withdraw the ATM...
