French papers are now getting in on the external polling game:

Meanwhile, the El Nacional/The National's first Wednesday poll gives pro-indy parties a somewhat improbable 49.5%, and 69-73 seats.

Inés Arrimadas, the 35 year old, media friendly leader of Ciudadanos in the Catalan Parliament, has had a good campaign and clearly established herself as the leader of the anti-independence forces. She has, of course, been helped in this by the fact that the national PPs abuses have made them toxic to all but the most hard core.

Meanwhile, Indra, the company commissioned to conduct electronic voting tomorrow, was earlier found guilty of donating €600k to a secret PP bank account:

Interestingly, turnout was slightly down at 1 p.m. CET - maybe the whole "silent majority" trope really is a myth!

On the other hand, it's now 69.5%, vs 63% in 2015, which suggests Ciudadanos are on course for victory:

Pep Guardiola accused of fomenting rebellion

The Civil Guard points to Pep Guardiola for a possible crime of rebellion
The former FC Barcelona coach and current coach of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, is one of those appointed by the Civil Guard for a possible offense of rebellion.

The Civil Guard has sent a report with a long list of names to the judge of the Supreme Court, Pablo Llarena, who investigates for a crime of rebellion the dismissed members of the Govern, the presidents of ANC and Òmnium Cultural, the members of the Board of the Parlament and another series of people who have participated and supported the procés.

The agents' report highlights the demonstrations held in the Diada or other peaceful protests as "germ of hatred towards the Spanish State" and, therefore, could be "part of the crime of rebellion."

In one of those demonstrations, specifically that of June 11, Guardiola actively participated with the reading of a manifesto in favor of the independence of Catalonia.

The manifesto "sought to mobilize all supporters of independence," according to the researchers.

I hate Spain, I hate the UK, I intensely dislike the Centralised French state and its paranoia over anything Not French. I’m not planting bombs but. Supporting a manifesto landing you on charges, fucking pathetic.

La Vanguardia's exit poll suggests there will be a pro-indy absolute majority, but that C's will be the largest single party:

Surprisingly, JxC are narrowly leading Esquerra, and level with C's - I blame Puigdemont!

Final results (assuming nothing changes in the last 5%):

                                  Pro-indy 70 (JxC 34, ERC 32, CUP 4)
                                  Pro-Spain 57 (C's 36, PSC 17, PP 4!)
                                  Podemos 8

So, after an 82% turnout, nationalists have lost two seats (with the major parties actually gaining four), unionists grow by three (with C's largely cannibalising the PP), and Podemos lose one - so, all in all, a rather pointless election, as Nef states.

Doubtless that will be a Resounding Victory for Unionism in most of the press. I’d like to see the Cleggy C cunts try and form a Govt.

                                        So as you were, then.

                                        "Largest party" is completely meaningless.

                                          Correct.

C's took another seat off of the PP in what looks to be the final tally.

Do the mad as a box of frogs CUP still hold the balance of power by one then? For the sake of stabilitat a minority Bowl Cut middle class Nat/ERC Govt depending on The Podemos aligned (but with a lesser pony tailed fuck malign influence) lot for budgets etc might be the best of outcomes. And Constitutional can kicked down the Paseig if Rajoy is sentient enough to start some Smith Commission bollocks to look at The Regional Settlement.

Plus the usual stream of words. Once known for my clarity and concise way with a sentence. Was on nodding terms with grammatical norms. Those days are gone now. And in the past, they must remain.
