    Grandma's House

Anybody else bothering with it? No?

I was a fan of series one but could understand (if not agree) with some of the criticisms though the new series is a major jump in characterisation and writing achieving the "British Curb..." status it appears to be aiming for.

The opening episode and last night's have been a particular delight, both demanding a rewatch within 24 hours.

That's all, though there's been excellent reviews I don't get the sense it's being watched in any great numbers so may not go beyond this series but any double DVD of all the episodes will be well worth it.

I think it's brilliant. So many great lines, great plotting, brilliant observations. I really look forward to it being on.

Its good, made better by the presense of Rebecca Front and Glen from the thick of it.

Oh yeah, it's great. The Lion King stuff had me doubled over. And "well done".

I like it, the second season is a bit stronger than the first as well.

I'd never heard of it until seeing this thread, but with nothing better to do I watched the first episode of the first series on YouTube last night. Thought it was mildly entertaining for the first ten minutes or so, and it grew on me thereafter. I'll definitely be looking at the rest.

Mrs. Stone and I watched series 1 (the only one we've had here to date) - be interested to hear how they managed in series 2 **SPOILER** after the sad death of Geoffrey Hutchings who played Grandad in the first series (and had some great lines).

What we saw delivered some proper laugh out loud moments, and brilliant observations of modern suburban life.

Caught the episode featuring the retro pornography in the loft. Some actual laugh out loud moments in that one.

Amazing and brilliant and wondrous all at once. Amstell a hero but a stellar supporting cast.

I love the script and situations, but still find Amstell's "acting" hard to admire.

Yeah, Amstell's painfully self-conscious performance has always rather grated with me.

However, credit where it's due: GH is much a great deal better than I was expecting.

                        Grandma's House

I think this week's lines about Biffy Clyro had me choking with laughter more than anything since 'The Trip'.
