I watched that all the way through. The ending is not cool.

        Mastodon - The Motherload

Cracking riff. The video is decidedly NSFW though.

I'm not linking it. I don't want to give them the attention.

I know all the words. Phonetically, like.

                  Imagine how annoying that is.

Ma-Ma-Ma-Belle by ELO. No idea why - I've not knowingly heard it in years and it wasn't one of their bigger hits in the first place.

Indeed - except that I always used to hear 'Ginger Baker's snack bar'...

The last few days, mine has alternated between Patti Labelle's 'New Attitude' and 'Pynk' by Janelle Monáe.

Even a Marc Jacobs ad can’t ruin this. Godspeed, Alan Vega.

Lay Down (Candles in the Rain) Melanie with the Edwin Hawkins Singers

Like Donovan we took the piss out of Melanie a lot and like him, with hindsight, unfairly. She appeared too blissed out to be true, and had a little-girlish quality that was just a teeny bit too saccharine. But she also had a great set of pipes and when the occasion demanded could rock out with the best of them. This is a great live version of her best song. It seems to have been recorded in a Dutch retirement home but Mel and the Edwin Hawkins Singers rise to challenge admirably.

"When Will I See You Again?" - The Three Degrees. It really is a heartbreaking song. Mrs. House Cat once said that this song and "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" were the truest songs about female adolescence.

I suspect she wasn't wrong. All the more remarkable as the lyrics to both were written by men.
