The Cure - Babble Recorded in Summer 1988, released April 1989 as a b-side.

Faith No More - From Out of Nowhere Recorded December 1988, released October 1989.

    Pretty similar, huh?
Must be coincidence though, as FNM can't have heard Babble before they recorded From Out of Nowhere.

Yeah, those keyboards are remarkably similar. How odd.

A bit like TSOL's Dance with Me, Exit Order's album from last year seems to cut across punk, what is now called dark punk by many people, and post-punk:

I seemed to miss this when it came out, or didn't listen closely enough. But I've been digging this record.

The one and only Thomas Mapfumo (arguably one of the best African bands ever. In 1996, I was lucky enough to see them - Thomas Mapfumo & the Blacks Unlimited - in the now sadly defunct but legendary JuJu Club in Sheffield in Crookes Social Club, amazing concert, went on for hours. The song below is not their best number but YT material on them is of average quality, the Chamunorwa album is great).

I won't forget, so why should I forgive?
Supply me with one reason why, boy?
