It drove me spare, to be honest. At least today's is a little more sedate:
Heart - Barracuda

Today's Earworm
Having viewed a glut of TOTP1979 episodes in the last two weeks, I've lumbered myself with, of all the songs shown in the 12 or so shows I subjected myself and the kids to...Knocked It Off by BA Robertson.
It's my own fault.

Today's Earworm
I probably heard a fair amount of early period Genesis in the mid-70's alongside all of the other Prog that I listened to at the time. Little did I know that 'The Battle Of Epping Forest' had lodged itself deep within my brain, biding its time, waiting for its moment. That moment arrived last week, when I heard the track for the first time in probably 35 years. It hasn't worn well to put it mildly, but that didn't deter the dormant earworm, which has emerged on a daily basis since then to replay different and random chunks of the song. And it's a long song with particularly dreadful lyrics. Check it out if you dare, I'm not posting a link.
All together now… "And Harold Demure, who's still not quite sure, fires acorns from out of his sling. Here come the cavalry."

Some of you are going to die
Martyrs of course to the freedom that I shall provide
Again, no links.

Rush - The Main Monkey Business
It's an instrumental, so the earworm consists of the main guitar riff on a loop. Good job I love Rush.

The Manics - Motorcycle Emptiness
Marvellous. All thanks to the Australia thread, which made me put that song on, and I left it playing.
