'Bad Day' by Carmel, on and off for about 2 weeks.
And it was one of those that just popped into my head, and has hung around. Usually when I walk downstairs to the toilet, I begin to hum it. TMI, but necessary.
WTF? You're right though, it's replaced Bryan Ferry doing The Price Of Love on my internal OST. Thanks. I think.
I find that often there's a reason why songs creep into my head. At first you don't notice they're there, then you realise you've been mentally running Song For Guy or Elephant Stone or whatever on repeat for twenty minutes. As a rule in my experience either (a) I've heard the song in a supermarket or shopping centre and it's crept in subliminally, or (b) there's a lyrical reference to something I've been thinking about or doing, and my subconscious has done the rest.
Now I've got Forward To Death by the Kennedys. Of course, I am at work...
Welcome back Mr Cat. It's nice to have someone my own age to talk to again.
I've said it here before but Vienna Teng's Hymn of Acxiom is track of the year. I haven't been able to shake it for the past couple of months. Album out in September.
Lately, I've been having a burning nostalgia (yes burning) for the early 90s. Not sure why, exactly, since I wasn't happy then, but I really miss the music and then slovenly dress code.
Anyway, here you go: Mazzy Star. I get them mixed up with the Sundays a lot.
I'm feeling really rubbish today: dry cough which I know will last for weeks, low energy, fluey. And a relentless headache (due to the cough making my brain bounce off the inside of my skull.) It's pounding to the rhythm of Sophisticated Boom Boom by The Shangri-las. Love it, but don't need it right now.
