    Today's Earworm

I've had Paint a Vulgar Picture stuck in my head since about 7am this morning. It's getting a bit tiresome.

'Tiger Feet' by Mud. Haven't heard it for years. Not a bad record though.

Ah, man. I remember the day I started this one. Sorry, I have just remembered the day I started this one. The thread sank like a stone almost immediately. I'm glad someone resurrected it.

The report went down alright, by the way, if you were worried.

Anyway, today I have Four Little Diamonds by ELO stuck in my head.

I love the delayed start on this "after four, FOUR", it's catchy as owt as well.

Oh, and now it's Chewing Gum by Annie which I haven't heard in ages, actually.

I think Nazareth's "Hair of the Dog" is finally out of my head after being lodged there for several days.

I need to stop listening to the "classic rock" station on the way home from work.

Came up on shuffle on my phone:

                            Lou Courtney - Hey Joyce

I've been humming 'Hey Joyce, you're my choice' over and over this morning.

Today's is the spectacularly bad 'Let's Put the X in Sex' by KISS. I'm not linking to it as I don't want to make anyone else as miserable as I am.

Spent most of yesterdays "cancelled" Sheffield half marathon (yes, I was a run rebel folks) with 'It makes the room look bigger' by HMHB wandering around between my ears.

I was once handed a flyer for a Guru Josh show which read:

'He's crazy! He plays keyboards AND sax!'

Keyboards and sax? Too rich for my blood.

"Keyboards and sax"? What is he, a fucking octopus?

My own earworm today is Love Touch by Rod Stewart, one of his shittest singles from the 1980s. Drastic measures will have to be taken.

                                            Today's Earworm

Every month or so I put a new CD together for my nearly three year old to listen to in the car. As long as there's a link for her to something she can relate to I've found she'll be singing along to songs I like - as opposed to the god-awful nursery rhyme CD's her grandma gives her - in no time. On the latest one for example there's Lola which she thinks is about Lola from Charlie and Lola and the Trini Lopez version of If I had a Hammer, which she has and with which she hammers in the morning and hammers in the evening. She's strggling a bit with Sid Barrett singing Vegetable Man mind even though he's one of her favourite toys

So anyway earworm. Hey Hey We're the Monkees. I don't think you need a link.
