    Probably-fictional blues legend dies

I admit I'm no blues expert, but I'd swear "Blues legend Louisiana Red" (death just announced on BBC Breakfast) is a Gregg Jevin.

I'm reminded of the likes of Blind Lemon Curd, invented by Wingco for Melody Maker's TTT pages.

It does seem a bit Willie "Skipbone" Jackson yeah.

(That was the name of the Onion blues artist, right - star of legendary "Blues Singer's Woman Permitted To Tell Her Side" story)

Hah! Just Googled that. It's beautifully done, isn't it? The way the story is written with an actual blues rhythm.

Jefferson Airplane were named after a similar gag (Blind Thomas Jefferson Airplane).
