    Important mascot news

    Surely it is worth ambushing the vote here to try and ensure we see a representation of a bubble as a mascot?;

     Quick Vote

What would you like to see as a potential new club mascot?

    A bubble
A new and improved Herbie the Hammer
    A hammerhead shark
Think about it, a fucking bubble! I'm seeing the credits to 'The Prisoner' but with a claret & blue theme.

    A fucking bubble!

If a bubble's chosen, there'll be no shortage of volunteers. That's if the song's owt to go by...

On the Prisoner theme, maybe Davids Gold and Sullivan could be chased around the pitch at half time by a malevolent Rover?

Even if the bubble wins the vote, it can't be any stranger than this:

This is clearly a policy of Sullivan's at all his clubs to ensure he is only the second most absurd looking spheroid in the ground.

That will look lovely with a touch of Claret as a trim.

maybe you could then call the mascot bubbles. It would add a different dimension to the club song.

I really don't think they are giving the fans a wide enough choice:

I've voted bubble, but it's Herbie The Hammer's to throw away at the moment.

Of course they should be taking a leaf out of Sammy the Tammy's book.

That looks like a giant, blue version of the baby from 'Eraserhead' ...or its head, at least. (cf. The last scene of the film).

Was having a flick through the mascot book at home yesterday and thought that, at 7/8 years old a lot of it's probably out of date now.

My lot, for example, have had four - the classic Captain Canary plus, in decending order of naffness, Camilla Canary, Splat the Cat and the Aviva Lemur:

The last two are sponsors' mascots, as you guessed.

Ipswich seem to have lost Crazee horse, too.

So, any new and exciting (or crap) mascots to report? Do Kingstonian still have a guy dressed up with a sword and shield at games? What do the Franchise have (if anything)?

The new Hammer is quite a bit scarier than the previous one I reckon:

I've never seen a mascot at a German game, but a cursory Google Images search does reveal MSV Duisburg's Ennatz. Who appears to be a zebra.

My kids love Stamford the Lion. His pre-match stroll around the pitch is the highlight of their trip to the Bridge.

                                  It's fast becoming mine.

Millwall have done a sterling job of removing all the old pictures of Zampa, pre-cartoonification, but you can still find some.
