Congratulations for both the season's win and the well organised running of the competition.

Out of interest, I thought I'd find the secret behind Sean's success, and analyse his tips for the season.

First off, he likes Arsenal and Man City. There were 19 matches involving the former, and 23 involving the latter, and in each he predicted a win. Sadly they never met on a Saturday, so we can't find out who he would favour in that one. If all of Sean's predictions had been correct, the league table (averaged out as some teams featured more often than others) would have looked like this:

Bloody Hell pebble, that's amazing. How much time have you spent on that?
If that table reflects nothing else, it shows how much the dominance of the big four has seared itself on our conciousness, even though they have been far from dominant this season, and sways our predictions.
Of course I know that they are likely to be beaten from time to time, but how do you predict when that will happen?
By the way, had the Man City and Arsenal games been in the competition I would have gone for an Arsenal home win and a draw at the Etihad.

It was mildly enjoyable actually, particularly as I'm trying to find ways to keep myself out of the pub. Highlights for me included wondering whether you'd first award a point to Watford or Sunderland (Sunderland by 1 week, although it was already December), and when you'd realise that Villa were shit (until February they were on course for 51 points, having predicted 5 wins, 9 draws, and 4 defeats, and then predicted 10 straight defeats (which was actually quite accurate)). And also wondering what you had against Southampton. Did you go on a bad cruise when you were younger?

So we are all done, and the title is mine. My lead over runner up Logan Mountstuart was reduced to seventeen points on the final day after he got the top score of 11, a score matched by longeared who leapfrogged Jah Womble to snatch the bronze medal position. Nobody got the bonus, but should we really be surprised that he season was brought to a close by an Aston Villa own goal?
I know there is still a game left to play after the abandonment of Man United v Bournemouth, but abandoned and postponed games are null and void in this competition.
Thank you to everyone who participates in the competition, as it is only made worthwhile if there are people to take part and enjoy it.
We will hopefully be back next season, and before that I'll be setting up a competition for the Euros in France.
