Anyone fancy the Lord's Sri Lanka test?

By modern standards, prices not too bad.

I'm not sure whether friends have sorted me for tickets for this, but I've got a feeling I've only got India ones in the bag.

So, er, yes. This is one of the most intriguing and appetising summer Test schedules we've had in years and years. Can't wait.

I may be there in August. Any Tests that late, or no?

Depending when, and if you're in London, you could make it to The Oval. Though I'd get on the case for tickets now to be honest

Hope you can make a test match, Gramsci.

So for Sri Lanka then. I'm happy to buy if you can pay me back within a suitable timescale. How many definites for the first day?

I'm definitely up for this. Is anyone going to take responsibility for getting them, or is it every man for himself?

I'm happy to do it, though there might be a limit on how many I can buy.

                  2) PG

I might go on one of the weekend days as well, with my son and my Mum.

I'm up for this, if my presence won't ruin an otherwise excellent day for you chaps.
haven't been to a cricket match for ages.
Tubby, I can let you have the deniros via t'internet whenever you like. (Or it could be a decent excuse for a pint.)

Yeah, it may be worth mentioning that I am a complete fucking jonah when it comes to watching test matches.

Windies, Headingley '91: Heavily rain interrupted, although did get to see a reasonable amount of the last two days of the first test England won at home to the Windies in 19 years.

Australia, Trent Bridge '01: Had tickets for fourth day. Arrived a day early for some Nottingham partying and managed to blag our way in to the ground in time to see one ball - the no ball that gave Australia the series win.

Australia, Old Trafford '95: saw 11 entirely incident-free overs on the only rain-affected day of the greatest series there has ever been.

If you guys want to have a whip-round to persuade me to stay away I'll quite understand.

Christ, I'm surprised it didn't start raining in the 100 Club when we went to see The Rutles.

                              Right

                              1) Me
                              2) PG
                              3) WYatt
                              4) Hobbes

I'll hang on till later tonight to give DG and E10 the chance to consider their options, then go for it unless I hear otherwise. OK?

                                Orders for 4 tickets in.

I apparently wait now for them to contact me.

I'm still not sure I got the tickets. I've had a blank email from them so far.

                                        Will let you know.

I'm going to the Saturday v India at the Oval, whatever that date is (mid August?)

Anyway, if anyone else is going let me know - would be good to meet up with some of you.

Ticket was a princely £52. I found my ticket to the first day of the Ashes test at Edgbaston in 2005 the other day. £16.
