Boardwalk Empire (HBO) :Steve Buscemi plays a bootlegger/the man who runs the town in 1920s Atlantic City. Excellent first ep. Shows every sign of success.

Hawaii 5-0 : Looks like dreck but it could be too early to tell. Maybe I'll watch a couple more episodes, but maybe I won't. It was like that.

Dunno, really. Completely out of new ideas? I mean, it's not like 5-0 is one of those shows you actually recall watching unless you're over 50, nor did it have a long 'retro cool' life in syndication. Maybe the faint whiff of nostalgia is enough. I'm also not sure that Caan's kid has the chops to carry a show. Who knows...
