      Hey GO, this thread was before my time so I'd never seen it before. You wrote beautifully considering the emotional state you would have been in.

      It is odd to believe how time flies though. Thinking about it I realise not only that it's nearly 17 years since my Dad died, but that he would now be 92. I only relate to him in his 40s to 70s.

      I hope the memories are good now - reading the thread I imagine they are.

      As a postscript, it's confronting also reading this thread and seeing how many of the formerly regular posters have left OTF in those ensuing five years. What's that you old guard say about the "old OTF" being better?

        Eleven years ago today I was in Rotherham (actually Sheffield) to see us pathetically draw at home to (then) non-league York City, before making my way to the family home to see my father just before he died.

        Today I'm house sitting at my late mother-in-law's place having seen Rotherham win very convincingly against non-league Bromley. Erm, I'm not sure what my point is...
