Former Texas state trooper poisons iconic tree at rival university.

After hearing word of the news, hundreds of Auburn fans ran to Toomer's Corner Wednesday evening with toilet paper to roll the corner.

Rolling the corner is a long-time tradition.

Fans wrote messages of "get well soon" on the paper before launching them into the branches of the old oaks. Others created a memorial with rolls of toilet paper.

We'll have live team coverage of this story beginning on News Leader 9 at Five.

                      The WTF? Thread

Reminds me of the Curb Your Enthusiasm episode with Richard Lewis' nurse...

Dunmore police Officer Anthony Cali asked Scranton police Officer Nancy Baumann to detain Karin Mackaliunas, 27, 1609 Mulberry St., at the scene of a crash at the North Seventh Avenue off-ramp Sunday evening.

After her car was towed, Ms. Mackaliunas was ready to leave the scene of the crash when Officer Cali contacted Officer Baumann and asked for Ms. Mackaliunas to be detained because she was suspected of stealing items from the inn.

After searching her for weapons, Officer Baumann found three bags of heroin in Ms. Mackaliunas' jacket.

But as the officer drove her to Scranton police headquarters to charge her for drug possession, Officer Baumann noticed Ms. Mackaliunas fidgeting in the backseat of the cruiser.

After a struggle with Officer Baumann during a more thorough search at headquarters, Ms. Mackaliunas asked to speak with Sergeant Michael Mayer and told him she had hidden more heroin in her vagina.

A search of Ms. Mackaliunas by a doctor at Community Medical Center turned up 54 bags of heroin, 31 empty bags used to package heroin, 8.5 prescription pills and $51.22.

The Jewish Defense League was extorting rap stars with death threats.

"The JDL… have been extorting money from various rap music stars via death threats," the FBI file on the case states. The report then goes on to describe how the group would make the death threats, and then call the rap star and offer protection for a fee.

According to the documents, Shakur was a victim of this scheme, as was another late rapper, Eazy-E.

Cross-dressing Man High on Bath Salts Kills Neighbors Goat.

Police in Charleston, West Virginia, found Mark Thompson wandering around the woods in a bra and panties and covered in the blood of his neighbor's pygmy goat, which he had killed in his bedroom. He had been high on "bath salts" for three days.

Thompson's neighbor, Lisa Powers, had been keeping the goat in her backyard as a gift for her grandson, but her nephew got a call that Thompson had taken the goat. When the nephew went into Thompson's house, they found him covered in blood and without pants. That's when they called the cops, as one does when you find a bloody, pantless man in his own home. The cops then found Thompson wandering around in the woods near his home. This sounds like something out of a David Lynch movie. Bath salts: one helluva drug.

ursus, bath salts are what they call the head shop version of heroin. A friend of mine was working as a doctor in a high five ward and his drug based clients started presenting with horrendous skin infections, because they were dissolving these substances in water and injecting them without boiling them.

These places also sold a subtance called spice gold, a fragrant incense (a mystery flammable substance, sprinkled in a synthesized analogue of THC, made in factories in china) they also sold pep pills which were supposed to mimic ecstacy and cocaine, but in reality just raised your heart rate.

And that's before you get on to mephedrone, which was sold under the description of a plant food.
