So the new single from The Cure came out last week and I just bought it yesterday.
It's not a bad slice of jingly jangly pop, very much in the style of the album "Wish" as it the b-side, which could have been ripped straight from the album itself.
It's pleasant enough in a Cure pop way. It's no Just Like heaven or In Between Days, but then those kind of songs only come along rarely. The more I listen to it the better it is, but it certainly isn't and wont ever be a classic. Still, it's nice to hear a bit of their lightness returning after "Bloodflowers" and "The Cure." The upcoming double album should be interesting.
