    Okay then, most influential bassist

It wasn't even that prominent on their records, it just felt that way cause of the focus on the big-thumbed homunculus at the front.

Tell you what, Hot Chip are the indie Level 42.

Ok, I have gone three days without mentioning him - Lemmy!

Actually, he isn't influential at all, I can't think of many people who have nicked his bass style

I can't quite tell whether this is tongue in cheek or not, but The Doors didn't have a bass player. Keyboard player Ray Manzarek provided the bass lines (although they used a number of different session bassists on their records, too).

Surely it's gotta be WSC's own Gusty Tomato. He also plays glockenspiel, has worked at CBGBs and nowadays passes on his engineering expertise to the students at Ultonia University. He brings a lot to the party.

That's right Andy, the Gypsies had no homes, the Doors had no bass!

Ah. I've been made to look a right one here, haven't I?

                Fancy buying a wax cylinder?

I can't look much past Paul McCartney and Brian Wilson.
