Dark is currently doing it for me on mobile, but it takes away the OTF header etc.

A couple of other things... I guess I'm going to need an avatar now that I'm either seeing no avatars (which is no fun) or I'm seeing some greyed out floppy haired arsehole as my placeholder.
And how do we know if our posts have got likes? Do we need to trawl all our old posts looking at the bottom right hand corner? Or do we get a notification that allows as to feel a bit smug?

The fancy pants new styles have vbulletin rather than otf as the header, and there's the weird power bar under each user's name.
Like what they said.Last edited by Lang Spoon; 10-01-2019, 23:55.

Ooh. I like old school
None of them fix the issue however. Still no way of knowing what the last post in a thread is about and who it is by. (on my phone, it works on the laptop). Odd thing is that it was working for the first 24 hours ish of the upgrade but has now gone. I presume one of the myriad tweaks you must have had to make did something that impacted older phones

First up, vBulletin logo and the extra bits of layout are there in the other styles because I haven't got around to customising them yet.
Last post / who by - that's another customisation. Will have to investigate that one.
The weird characters - looks to be a Unicode mismatch. This will take a little bit of time, as I'll have to get a copy onto the staging server and then start messing around with collations and so on. Trying to fix that in live could leave to spectacularly messy things.
Likes - you should get a notification in the bar if you have the option turned on. Click Notifications | Notification Settings and in the General section click "Likes your post" and finally Save Changes.

Just to highlight what i mean, above. This is the exact same page (using the Ursus hack, advanced search, click on "Last Visit") as viewed on my laptop and on my mobile. Obviously i;m using a different skin/style on each device, but it seems to me that is the only thing that ought to be radically different

Only issues I've had:
When I return to a thread after looking at another, it doesn't go back to last post.
The apostrophe thing.
Not sure where the linking thing is (yes, I see it, but it doesn't work), and when I flip back from the Big A, I am still none the wiser. Which is a GOOD thing.
OK, just worked out, that is the one with the clip.
So, two small things. (Colour schemes notwithstanding. I want Plymouth black and green, but I also wanted to live in the same building as "Mary, Mungo and Midge", so tough.)
Thanks for a great job. (And the space between all of my sentences is because of paragraphical choice. One sentence for each. Ish.)
Nice one Snake. Only thing I will ask, is, that when it's all over, and you say,"if you can pay for Chartmusic, you can pay for this", think of us poor folk, who can barely afford a cat, ahouse, a partner, a decent job, food in our mouths, and supporting Burnley, although...
Thank you. x

On mobile, the page number buttons at the bottom of the page are far too large. On this thread, it's not such a problem, but when the thread page number runs into the quadruple digits, the size ensures that I get far too few choices. On the Mundane Thread, I could just select either "Previous" or "1554".
Half the size would be more than big enough for me.

A lot of us seem to be having a similar problem on a handful of threads.
I have the same issue with Brexit and Democrat 2020 threads. On Chrome on a Windows 7 Desktop:
The threads appear as "read" in terms of the font no longer being bold, even though they show up as "unread" under the Unread Posts tab. And when they point to the "most recent post", they go to a post way back in the thread (for me it's NHH's post #2 in the Democrat 2020 thread; Satchmo's post #11906 in the Brexit thread). Which also means there's never a "go to last unread post" tab, either.
Strangely, the Muzza's Last Stand thread in Sport was doing this to me earlier in the day, but has somehow fixed itself.

Interesting
If one looks at the "Today's Posts" view (which I never use), one can see that some threads aren't updating as quickly as others (and those seem to be one that people are having issues with).

Both "Today's Posts" which is what I've started using, and "Unread Posts" which is sometimes useful, have the problem. If I click on the thread on the front page it works properly. But even if I click through to the Forum (say, World, in this instance), it points to the post in the middle of the thread.

So, I have just realised that if you mouseover that set of bars under people's names you get a weird bit of text . Wouter, for example, above this post, "is on a distinguished road" . Ursus "has a spectacular aura about" and Snake "is a glorious beacon of light"
Just like that "ferry company" took it's terms and conditions from a catering company, did we borrow the template of this from a shop specialising in selling crystals and self help books?
