    Amazon purchase of the day

A steal at £48.93, judging by the glowing customer reviews.

"If you only buy one 20 inch canvas print of Paul Ross this year, this is the one to get."

        That's brilliant. I love:

"I recently purchased this poster, and while it's lifelike, well made and had a certain, portly charm to it, I have since found out that it's actually *cheaper* to hire Paul Ross to come over and stand against a wall, whenever you feel the need to look at him. "

Of all the things to have done before, we've actually done this before. Thing is, this search function is second only to the Pope's balls for uselessness, so I can't find and smugly link to it.

The comments have certainly improved since the first time we discussed this back in December…

Are we now resorted to being stuck on some tinyurl, like a shitty Daily Nazi article?

Don't mean to steal anyone's thunder, if that's what I've done. I was only sent the link this morning. Apologies.

Oh, stop it. That's not what you've done at all. I was just busting your balls.

Anyone remember the mid-to-late '90s fad of writing Amazon reviews for collections of the (not very) comic strip The Family Circus? Unfortunately, most of them have been purged from the site, but they were hilarious. Again, not like the comic.

Sadly, no. I was far too young. But someone's collected some of them here.

Family Circus features regularly at Comics Curmudgeon.

"The Family Circus" was a veritable cornucopia of side-splitting mirth compared to "Nancy". Even my seventh-grade geography teacher used to diss it in front of the class.

                                And another, for your delight.

"Unfortunately I already had this exact picture tattooed on my chest, but this shirt is very useful in colder weather."

Okay, who's circulating that link (besides you)? A kid in our interactive department sent that very link around this morning, suggesting it might be good as our new company t-shirt.

                                    There's one born every minute.

"Since this pocket satire appeared six months ago, the shirt has racked up more than 500 jokey reviews, and sales have soared twenty-fold."

Perhaps the purchasers have a strong sense of irony. Or is it just "cutting-edge" marketing?
