    Quake Live

    www.quakelive.com

Anyone into online death matches, this is very exciting.

Basically, it's Quake 5 played over your web browser. It's completely free and runs perfectly on my £500 laptop.

My ID is dws75 if anyone looking for some frag action.

I think you mean Quake 3 Arena.

I like the fact that it exists, but I've got no desire to play it. I played Quake 3 nearly a decade ago, and I own lots of newer, better multiplayer shooters. I'd rather be playing L4D or TF2 now.

Sure, but if you subject to hardware restrictions like I am then it's ideal.

Of course. There's nothing stopping people pulling out their old copy of Quake 3 Arena, of course, but for people who never owned it, it's cool that it exists.

Quake II was miles better. Gimme Quake II.

            Give me Goldeneye.

(That's not some kind of terrible euphemism, incidentally)

Goldeneye really doesn't hold up, if you ask me.
