Can't find my Russian dictionary to hand, but the speech bubble says something like "Books- best source of knowledge".

            Me too.

It's going to be rammed at first, isn't it? This stands to be one of the Tate Modern's most popular exhibitions yet, I'd think.

Well, I have a 2 card membership so if one of you can pretend to be Pamela I can take 3 people along. (Actually I think the 2nd card just says "guest" on it so you may be ok.)

We'll all just have to form an orderly queue by the Hobbes.

I don't know when I'd be able to come up anyway, so it may not be for ages yet. Thus I may end up going on my own anyway. I'll be at the back of the Hobbes-queue anyway.

Well I live and work within 10 minutes of the Tate Modern Clive, so anytime you fancy it, you know? If I'm otheerwise engaged I'll just lend you my card or something.

Right, this is now on and I'm on an early finish (and it's payday) on Friday. Anyone fancy this followed by some discussion on the relative merits of Constructivism over a pint?
                      I'm free from 4.30.

I should be able to get across to the Tate Modern for 5.30ish.

I just ran into Purves Grundy in Sainsbury's, and he might be up for this if he's free (which is unlikely judging by recent form).

If Purves can't make it, let me know, as I'm still interested too. Cheers.

Probably best to assume he can't until we hear otherwise, Clive - he wouldn't be expecting one of the golden tickets anyway.

Well, I certainly wouldn't want to force him out. You (pl.) have known him longer than you have me, so it's only fair he gets first dibs.

I get half price entry with my Art Fund membership, so it's not really a problem.

Clive, you wouldn't be forcing anyone out of anything. When I saw Grundy today, he was ordering smut-cheeked urchins to collect his butts as he ripped the lucky heather from innocent matchstick girls' little fists. Plus it's 99% certain he won't be able to make it anyway. Come.

                                              Well 5.30 it is then.
I'll probably go over at 4.30 anyway and have a cheeky glass of red in the members bar and meet you somewhere at 5.30.
GY, you're welcome to meet me either at my office at 4.30-ish or over the bridge at 4.45-ish for a quick drink before hand or just at 5.30 with LL.
Clive, you're more than welcome mate. Come along. Can even put you up if you need, although we're off out on Saturday late morning.

Ah! That makes the decision a little bit easier, as I won't be able to make it by that time. In fact, although I normally finish at 4:30, tomorrow I think I may be working 'til 5 or even 6, as my boss is on leave at the moment, meaning it's just me and the occasional part-timer. Thus getting to London by then is extremely unlikely.

I suppose I was thinking it was going to be more of an evening thing. Never mind - some other time.
