    Hard Vs Soft water

So, the big one - do you prefer hard or soft water?

For me it's hard water all the way. Soft water tastes a bit like washing up liquid to me, plus it isn't as healthy. Hard water is better for you as it has more minerals in it.

    Hard water rules.

You can't get a decent cup of tea out of hard water for love nor money I'm afraid.

Hard water fucks with my kettle.

Although I find it's better for skating on.

The only thing hard water is better for is getting washed in (I always feel slightly oily after I've had a shower in a soft water area).

For everything else - drinking, cooking, boiling to make a cup of tea - hard water is utter rubbish.

Since moving to London I've not got eczema. I'm assuming this is something to do with the water. SO I'm all for whichever type I have here. Hard, I assume.

How do you tell the difference? Hard water to me is ice.

Hard water is much nicer - and you CAN make a decent cup of tea with it.

I pretty much made that joke already...

Wow, this "quote" button is handy. It will allow disputes to escalate a lot more quickly. Hurrah!

I can't be bothered crafting even the weakest of "soft water"/"you calling my water a poof, pal?" puns.

Hard water's better for Burton Ale, soft water's better for Kolsch. Obviously.
