    The world is (almost) mine

Well the Eurolottery result from last night, with a jackpot of £34 million is:

6, 25, 30, 45 and 50 with Lucky stars of 5 & 7. There was no jackpot winner and it will be £45 million next week.

I did 4 lines and on the first I matched 50 with lucky stars of 5 & 7

    2nd line I matched 6, 25, 45 & 50

    3rd line nothing

    4th line I matched 30 with lucky stars 5 & 7

Now Ive won £89.40, which is nice but I got all 5 numbers and both lucky stars over 2 lines. I think this is about as close as I'm ever going to come to the jackpot.

    34 million quid......

I just checked, and if you'd have put the 2 lucky stars on the line that you got 4 main numbers on, you'd have won £2,834. And twenty pence.

How can it go from £2,834 for being just one number away, to £33 million for getting the last one right? That's like over 10,000 times the prize on a 50-1 shot!

      On that line Rog I had 4 & 6 instead of 5 & 7.

These were all lucky dips so what the hell. I think the Gods are playing with me.

Totally agree with what you say about the prize breakdown though.

A few years ago, when I was living in Boston, I used to regularly play the same six numbers in one of those lottery games where you have to pick six numbers. One week, I matched five of the six, and was so excited to go and collect my $5000 prize. Imagine my disappointment when I presented my ticket to the lottery agent and was told that I had only won $500. It was the other lottery game that paid $5000 for five of six. That's just my kind of luck.

Still, it was 500 badly needed dollars, so I couldn't complain.

I'm in the middle of a nice little winning streak at the moment.

Since the beginning of April I have won:

          1. £10 on the normal midweek lottery.
          2. £54(ish) on the winner in the Grand National.
          3. £100 on the Internet Lottery.
          4. £90(ish) on the eurolottery

And yesterday I won another £10 on the Internet lottery.

Anyone else enjoyed a couple of weeks of luck?

Yeah, every week I save £2 by not doing the lottery. Over the last 12 years I must have saved thousands

I think I had some good luck once. It was around 1985, 1986, round about then anyway.
