    so what is going on at the airport. havent given it that much attention.

    am i right in saying the protestors are pro king and anti PM, the army are also and havent got the motivation to move them, partly as the whole thing has been set up by the army.

    right?

    I was in thailand a few years ago, the knigs birthday (i thought they said queens actually) nothing opened, not one shop or bar. all bloody day. and it rained

    Everybody in Thailand is pro-King. Clothing themselves in pro-King BS is how the PAD would like to oust a government that was democratically elected less than a year ago. In an election held under military rule. In which the military tried did its best to tilt the field against the eventual winners.

    And not just about having new elections - they'd lose those. These demonstrations are about having new elections AND disqualifying the current governing party from running.
