Words/names that should be altered in order to become more accurate

My first wife had a knack for mis-hearing things in a highly appropriate way. Sort of malapropisms with extra dressing I suppose. "Volumptuose" instead of "voluptuose," for instance, definitely an improvement I think. She also insisted on more than one occasion that 'The Five Blind Boys of Alabama,' were 'The Five Deaf Boys of Mississippi.'

    Any others?

A friend's wife once responded 'I thought they were in prison in Russia?' after he'd explained that the person on TV, Nicole Scherzinger, used to be in the Pussycat Dolls.

Mrs HORN talked on the weekend about recuperating an investment she’d made.

If we're talking malapropisms an ex colleague of mine was great for them "he was so drunk I had to inhale a taxi for him " and "people are making allegations about me and I'm going to find out who the alligators are " were two of his best ones.
