I don't know if this has been covered elsewhere on this board, in which case please delete, but I was saddened yesterday to hear of the death of Ken Sproat, who was a life-long Blyth Spartans fan who wrote about them, among other subjects, in WSC as well as penning their official history. He was only 54.
I never met him but for music-related reasons (he was a big music fan) corresponded with him (snail mail method) a number of times and found him to be funny, generous (he gifted me some records) and down-to-earth.
RIP Ken.
