It's good to see that, so far at least, Marbula One has not been affected by the virus, though I have been disappointed by my team's performance over the past two weeks as they slide down the table.

I haven't watched yesterday's race yet, but I'm not expecting much from my Limers.

I watched yesterday's race earlier, it was an absolute belter, as good as the one at the MoMoMotorway. Thanks to you guys for introducing me to this.

It also drew my partner in and afterwards we were discussing how you might go about making your own marble race, which in a roundabout way reminded me of the game Line Rider, which I enjoyed making tracks on 15 odd years ago, trying to get the sledder to do spectacular jumps/loops/somersaults.

That then led me to wonder if any one had ever uploaded some examples of their creations, which led me to find this piece of awesomeness. My partner literally said, "This makes me happy", without prior knowledge of this thread's existence.

The uploader also has a couple of other classical songs that are linked on the youtube page that are similarly marvellous.

I'm amazed that no one else has mentioned it, but a clip of the marble thingy made it onto BBC breakfast this morning as something to watch in lieu of sport.

                That's lovely lambers.

Oh, and who's your marble team of choice? I must start making a list of everyone who's declared their so far.

Interesting to watch and see if Jelle's Marble Runs' subscriber count skyrockets in the coming days. Apparently it's going, er, viral, as in the absence of actual sporting happenings around the globe people are latching onto anything vaguely sporty/competitive out there in the virtual realm. The BBC and papers are talking about him today, Gary Lineker's been tweeting about watching his marble Sand Rallies, etc.

They only just passed 600k subscribers according to commentary on recent race, but it's now up to 641k as I type.

I never thought adding my favourite marble teams to my sidebar here would prove to be a trendsetter, but weirdly it looks like going that way.

Edit: Haha, cross-post with pebble there. Gazumped by 5 minutes!

My lad - a big F1 fan - is loving Marbula One. He's plumped for the O'Rangers and found the use of the s***** m***** in the second race as hilarious as I hoped.

That's brilliant it's going mainstream, hopefully they won't let it go to their heads!

My team is the Hazers, it sounds like I'm jumping on the bandwagon as they're doing well in M1 at the moment, but it's actually because of a family member called Hazel.

Is anyone playing out the Premier League fixtures with Subbuteo and putting it on YouTube by the way? If not, someone should.

I thought you'd asterisked out some vulgar term and I was trying to figure out what it was. I came up with "shitty morons" but had no idea what they would be in the context of a marble race.

We used a Subbuteo set up on Sunday in my FA Level 1 coaching course. Childhood memories came to the fore in an instant.

So it seems that this AA Milne Poem has come to life then.

Having watched a fair amount of Jelle's runs already I knew what the redacted version was.

                              Green Ducks, BTW.

I think the season should be completed via Celebrity FIFA*.

Teams of famous fans, with random ringers and suchlike for those teams a bit lacking in that department.

(* I personally think Celebrity PES would be better due to greater customisation options. As much as I've been enjoying those videos, the likenesses are complete crap.)

I am so gutted that I finally watched my first marble race tonight, but somehow managed to watch the most recent, rather than starting from the beginning and working through. I don't want to spoil anyone's fun, so I won't say who I picked, but my chosen team did not qualify. Or even get close. But it's worrying already how much I was pissed off when it happened. Or how much I dislike the Limers.

Two utterly sensational clips of James Burke.

Just watched it now. Fantastic stuff, and settled the right way - by carrying on until there was a clear winner, rather than a head-to-head or count back approach.

My daughter and I enjoyed identifying the Disney films on this, this morning:

                                            https://youtu.be/iVC01GxFwDg

The only one we can't get is when he's staring out of the window wearing a sash made out of a white sheet. What film is that? Tangled, when Rapunzel is stuck in a tower? Neither of us recognise the song.

That's a bit odd that that the groundhog is sitting there so close to the dogs. I guess the pizza is just that good. I used to have them in my yard until I got Tonka. Now they keep their distance. He has had some tense stand-offs with them in the wild, though, which is one of the reasons we no longer do much off-leash stuff in the summer when the critters are out and about.
