Put me in the "clean slate" crowd as well (though I guess I would make an exception for he who shall not be named given the gravity of the prior offence).

I wasn't around during Fartle's time on the old board, but I haven't seen anything since he's joined this one that even hints at a banning offence. He hasn't even used "Looneypool", FFS.

He wasn't banned after two posts, though, and it's a bit disingenuous to suggest he was. He was banned after several hundred posts on the old board, and as this is a direct continuation of that board, it doesn't seem unreasonable that bans are transferred over.

Which isn't to say I'm against the clean slate sentiments (I'm kind of ambivalent really) but I can quite understand why bans would carry over. To be frank, I'd be surprised if Gonzo had become any less inane in the period since his ban from the old board.

Well, I forgot why gonzo was banned. If it was inanity alone, then I'm not sure I'd be in the ban-him camp anyway.

Maybe I want him back because he was always there for an easy put-down when I was lacking the energy to pick on someone my own size.

I won't be using Loonypool again (not until we give them another smashing next season), although I have some new ones like:

It's not disingenuous. He was banned previously three months ago and hadn't posted since. Are you suggesting a life sentence or what?
