Well, just completed my application for Settled Status, easy enough. I am now being considered for Settled Status as the hmrc database check was positive for 5 years residency...wait and see!

Which of these 14 don't you think would wear no deal, NS: Williamson, Fox, Mordaunt, Truss, Javid, Grayling, Wright, Leadsom, Hunt, Brokenshire, Evans, Barclay, Cairns, Lewis
Williamson, Fox, Mordaunt, Grayling, Truss, Leadsom and Barclay obviously would. Javid and Hunt will do whatever gets them into Number 10. Wright, Evans, Cairns and Lewis I'm not sure about, though as party chairman Lewis would presumably go with the party membership.

It's going to be no deal. It's the only way May can survive as PM/the Tory scumfucks mostly intact. The Micks and Europe will be blamed so that's ok. Maybes there will be refugee boats of folk in diabetic comas doing a reverse Dunkirk. Oh for a British Robespierre and land expropriation 200 years back. The worst fetish the Dirty Brits ever birthed upon the world, the fetish for Private Property.

As it is, we now face the ridiculous possibility of being forced to contest the European elections more than three years after leaving the EU and having to agree to exit terms that in no way resemble what the people were promised when they voted to leave
                  Promised by whom, exactly?

She appears to be saying that she can't change the WA. Corbyn has claimed that the WA is a pile of crap. So, Corbyn doesn't really have a move other than telling her to fuck off.

Which also appears to hold with the longer term strategy of making sure that the Tories have full ownership of the disaster that's coming. If Corbyn signs off on a May WA Hard Brexit with a couple of sweeteners, Labour get tied into the disaster.
It can't be stressed often enough or hard enough, but Theresa May Can't change the WA. Jeremy Corbyn Can't change the WA. No-one in the UK can change the WA in any meaningful sense, because the WA is the part of this story where the UK shuts the fuck up and does what it is fucking told or else it gets the hose again, Brexit isn't about reclaiming independence, it's about the journey to becoming the Reek of Europe, and it's taking a long time for the Penny to drop in the UK. The WA is the list of things that the EU requires the UK to do before Leaving the EU in any form. It is independent of any subsequent arrangement, it's just tidying up the groundrules first so perfidious Albion doesn't get any stupid ideas about being perfidious. The EU does not give a flying fuck what anyone in the UK thinks about the withdrawal agreement. We think it's kind of quaint that the UK parliament is debating it so much. They may as well be debating the unfairness of the aging process and death.

The WA must be passed before anything else happens. As since 2017, there are three options for the UK govt, There is The WA, No-deal, or No Brexit. If you don't like the Withdrawal agreement, you can either fuck off with no-deal and start an economic war, or you can hold a second referendum Those are your options.

If Jeremy Corbyn thinks the WA is a pile of Crap, then as always, the only two legitimate options open to him are no-deal, or calling for a second referendum. which has been exactly the same choice facing them since about 2017. You can't renegotiate the Withdrawal agreement. People for some reason seem to have mixed in the future relationship with the Withdrawal agreement, and that is just an entirely different world of Nonsense. Labour voting against the WA because it doesn't include a customs Union is like sending back your fucking prawn cocktail starter because it has less Jelly and Ice cream than you expected.

And looking back.... Am I supposed to suddenly give the Labour party Credit, because they voted in favour of a non binding vote for EFTA, nearly three years after the referendum, making the decision at lunchtime two days after the UK was supposed to leave the EU, having been refusing to accept freedom of movement less than a day before? The UK parliament just has to pass this fucking stupid withdrawal agreement, and then fuck off to die quietly in some corner and give us some peace.

Looks like the EU has seen right through May strategy anyway, who hasn't really...

The scene is being set for 'my deal or its EP elections and long extension'...

Fox and Mordaunt certainly, Leadsom and Barclay possibly, Grayling probably, with his dimness being the main driving factor. But that's it, I reckon.

This observation may already be widespread but I've finally remembered the quote Mark François has been reminding me of for the last few weeks :

"Living proof that a pig's bladder on the end of a stick can be elected to Parliament"

                              - Tony Banks on Terry Dicks.

                              Gawd, I miss Tony Banks.
