All but one will die before the People’s Tribunals into Traitorous Brexit Backsliders. I’d say Morgan will be the one who turns on her compradres. Promise of Cabinet.

I've read that some people want Morgan bought off with a job. But she's chairing the Treasury Select Committee, so it would have to be something big, and that would "upset the balance of the Cabinet", or something.

Morgan and Stephen Hammond also have to watch it in their constituencies from Citizens of Nowhere.

Imagine if, I dunno, the Morning Star had run a front page with an anti-Corbyn gallery like that and the outrage over 'bullying' that would have followed. The Tories are properly fucked.

I think they're supposed to do a Jo Cox. Or at least, they want the people identified to fear that.

Surely Telegraph readers must notice how shoddy and shrill the product is these days? The flapping unwieldiness of the format can't be enough to fool people into thinking that it is in any way a high quality publication, given how poor the content is.

It's not gone down very well. A reaction from within the Government.

Fabulous collection of some of the best MPs in the country. How small the Telegraph appears in comparison.
But of course, it only takes one lunatic.

It should also be noted that of these so-called mutineers, only one actually voted against the government.

Yeah. There's only going to be a couple of amendments that might pass against the government's will. It's not like John Major losing budget votes or anything.

From the Graun article on the amendments:
The government still hopes the EU27 will agree to move on to the next stage of the negotiations – on Britain’s future relationship – in December.

But the Department for Exiting the EU (DExEU) believes the position of Brussels has hardened considerably in recent months, particularly on the issue of financial settlement.

David Davis and his colleagues had expected the EU27 to accept agreement on the broad framework for calculating the Brexit divorce bill as the “sufficient progress” it has demanded.

But the EU has made clear it does not regard May’s promise to honour the UK’s financial commitments as sufficient.

The EU is seeking a detailed breakdown of the financial liabilities the UK will accept – something Davis remains unwilling to offer.
Imagine that! The EU is being so unreasonable not accepting a vague mention of "commitments" from the PM, while the UK's chief negotiator tells everyone who will listen that he is going through the purported commitments line by line and that most aren't legally binding. Why won't they accept we're all on the same page?

And so unreasonable as not to trust a Home Secretary who's been done for contempt of court to protect their citizens.

Strangely, the number of EU citizens in the UK has risen by 112,000 since the referendum - mostly Romanians and Bulgarians, apparently:

It's specifically rEU born people in the workforce. That's not all that surprising in 16 months, where having worked in Britain before "Brexit Day" could give you the right to work in Britain forever.

                                        What to make of this?

The government has dropped plans for a huge lorry park off the M20.

In a massive U-turn, the government says it will no longer be going ahead with the plans for a £250 million park near Hythe just days after saying it was still "fully committed".

It means plans will be taken back to the drawing board with options due to be presented to the public next year and submitted in 2019.
This must have been planned long before Brexit. So is it now too small? Or are they going for Soft Brexit, and wing it with the lorry space?

                                                Freudian slip from Soubry there:

"...what it's about, is healing the great divide that has occurred in our party".

                                                Other MPs: "country".

There are members tabling amendments, and rightly so. But I don’t think we should listen to, really, those that simply do not have the confidence in this House, in our democracy and also in our country going forward, along with the suggestions that we are incapable of governing ourselves. Fundamentally, we should be rejecting that.
