We need Eggy for the rule in England and Wales

It wouldn't be a clear enough case for the New York Bar (as illustrated by the fact that Rudy Giuliani is still a member in good standing).

In theory, barristers are supposed to support the rule of law and the integrity of the Courts, and not advise their clients to embark on a criminal basis.

In practice, I doubt the Bar Council has the guts to act as the attack on the rule of law is bad enough without loading the gun further....

I see the car industry is fucked as car parts from Japan and Turkey, which get imported and built in "British made cars", aren't going to be counted as British, so exporting said cars may be at a higher tariff. This also potentially fucks EVs as batteries are not included either, and the UK makes Nissan Leafs and MINI EVs.

Right...No Deal with sanctions is looming then...

Have we done this one as part of that?

            So. "WTO minus" looms then.

This was always going to happen. The Brexit headbangers knew very well it would happen, and that it would give them something to get good and performatively angry about, to further rile up the fucking idiots who continue to insist that Brexit is a good idea.

The Secret Barrister and David Allen Green have gone full bore at Braverman and Buckland, for all the good it will do.

I missed this at the time but it's a good analysis I think

a voicferous campaign for victims of grooming gangs is easily misread

I bet that wording wasn't agreed, and If i were ms Shah's lawyer I would demand a further apology

And they're trying to avoid using the words "No Deal" by replacing them with "Australia's terms". I bet someone at No 10 almost wanked themselves into unconsciousness when they came up with that one.

What a fucking triumph. What an absolute fucking triumph. Do you reckon the 52% of fuckwits would have voted for Brexit if we'd told them chocolate was going to cost 21% more? Or bacon sarnies 15% more? Tomatoes 14% more? Or BMWs 10% more? Would they fuck.

I've no idea how much BMWs cost. I see around 170k are sold in the UK each year. That's more than I'd have guessed. Still, I don't think a 10% price rise will affect that many people. Chocolate, now, that's a different kettle of ball games.
