Peter Bone, Bill Cash and Bernard Jenkin stamping their feet at Bercow.

There's never a well timed, rage induced, heart attack when you want one, is there?

Apologies, the link doesn't seem to work now. Time limited.

So what does this mean? Does this mean that Boris's deal has been felled?
It means they have to do it through the WAB, which opens it up to being amended in all sorts of ways, like a customs union or a second referendum.

Bercow is surely correct. They could have had a vote on Saturday but they chose to pull it.

They also now have to publish the Withdrawal Agreement Bill, which they have been extraordinarily reluctant to do. I expect that we will better understand that reluctance once the text is public.

Barclay now claiming that Jeremy Corbyn is holding up the publication of the bill by asking an UQ about the publication of the bill, as if they have been dying to publish it all along.

The same Barclay who earlier today told a committee that "he didn't think" customs declarations would be required by NI suppliers exporting goods to the (rest of the) UK, only to have to correct himself within minutes once someone who knew what they were talking about managed to get the message to him.

As was the case with the Leave Campaign, the current Cummings Johnson project is grounded on selling a credulous public a set of "alternative facts" with the connivance of a complicit media.

They run into difficulty when members of the Government believe the bullshit and try to act on it.

I still think Johnson, to some extent, knows exactly what he is doing here. The people versus parliament and the establishment narrative will come again and he'll try to win an election with the support of the Brexit Party as they'll take seats from Labour but will only ever ally with the Tories.

The parties that are either anti Tory or anti Brexit have to take a deep breathe and work together as the fascists and the right have one single item on their agenda which is Brexit. Nothing else matters to them and until we fully realise that we are fucked. Disaster capitalism is at work that will make some of the experiments around the world seem like child's play.

Will he be front page news tomorrow? Expect to see him portrayed as a traitor with his address published. I fear for his safety.

Will Farage really go along with Dominic Cummings plans? After Johnson tried to get a sub-May agreement through the commons and split NI from the rest of the UK I think Farage has a good case to make that Johnson is not to be trusted with the Superhard Brexit that the Brexit Party maniacs want. Farage wants his platform and wants his ego stroked, so I think he won't cede to the Tories in a general election now and will believe that his 20% in the polls will grow and that he'll be the next PM.

He's going to need more to be bought off, and as I've said before, I'm not at all sure that he can effectively control "his" voters

Everyone has a price. Farage will support Johnson if he wants to be in power. And the DUP will follow if they have their red lines met. They are all of the same belief system and all of the establishment.

they cant meet the DUP red lines any more. They've sold them up the river. They can's claim it was a misunderstanding

Farage and cummings despise each other with an intensity that's not really human. Farage isn't really interested in wielding real power. He's only in it for the attention that his vaudeville act gets. If he ever becomes prime minister, the likelihood of getting Mussolinied is really high I've got to say though, Johnson's brexit is super fucking hard. It's about as hard as a brexit can be without making you an international pariah state.

Johnson’s another vaudeville act though. Cummings isn’t. Cummings needs an operation which is one reason for the hurry.

from the Spectator- where his wife is deputy editor
Cummings had to make a proper sacrifice to take the job; Johnson talked him into cancelling a surgical procedure, serious enough to warrant general anaesthetic, which had been scheduled for three days later, when Johnson formally became PM.

He promised his wife, the journalist Mary Wakefield, that he would reschedule the operation for the week following 31 October and only after the op would he then discuss with Johnson what – if any – his future role in government would

I'd be willing to bet that Cummings, Bannon and the Mercers have a private What's App group where they decry the uselessness of their useful idiots.

It has to be frustrating for them.
