It's OK. I've checked Twitter and this is all Jeremy Corbyns fault.

Not on this. But I've noticed that having protested against Trump, he doesn't seem in any hurry to call out the shitshow with Putin today. Nothing from Thornberry either.

That's a major problem for me.

Today is a good day for Putin and the oligarchs in Russia. It is a bad day for people in the United States and all over the world who believe in democracy and who are trying to understand what world our idiot president lives in.

If he tweeted someithng you'd probably condemn him for internatioanl showboating when he should be concentrating on the Brexit votes in the HoC. There are a few attacking him for the 3 vote defeat because of Field Stringer and Hoey

I wouldn't condemn him for that.

I've clocked a few people saying Soubry did what Corbyn should be doing, but nobody blaming him for Hoey and co.

I think Kelvin Hopkins voted with the government on the first one. I get what the 3 Labour reactionaries are doing, what's he doing? Just pissed off he's suspended?

Way to piss off how ever many people paid subs to be members of the 'anti-Brexit party'...

To be fair to Farron he was busy elsewhere giving a speech on how he doesn’t like gays.

The Guardian reckon May "faces defeat" on a vote on staying in the customs union if no deal.

I'm not sure she is, because even if Farron and Cable remember to show up, and it's just the 3 hardcore Labour boneheads rebelling, they'll need virtually all those 14 rebels from the first close vote yesterday. Sadly, I think this "make our own trade deals" nonsense has got burrowed in too deep.

If the customs union amendment goes down to defeat today because the Tory rebels sans Soubry and Clarke go MIA AGAIN, that should forever bury the "it's Corbyn's fault!!!!" crowd.

I mean, it won't, but it should.

What does this mean? If there's no deal, we can't stay in the customs union, by definition.

As a "backstop", if the EU would accept it, I presume.

Presumably the Commons would mandate that as an FTA is impossible, it should settle for a Turkey-style arrangement.

But, again, a backstop would have to be agreed as part of a deal. If there's no deal, we either crash out or there's an extension.

As far as I understand "backstops", Parliament deems the government isn't going to get a deal so they then get put forward automatically for EU consideration.

So when you break electoral rules, what happens? A slap on the wrist fine? Doesn't seem like much of a deterrent
