Peter Geoghegan now tweeting that an all UK regulatory convergence is unacceptable to the DUP. Source is fucking Dodds. If the Hard Brexit spacers in Westminster are now driving DUP Brexit policy, I hope the whole world tumbled on their ugly heads. Fuck youse yis cunts.

Well, according to Davis, it's unacceptable to the Tories too. He explicitly differentiated between alignment and convergence/harmonisation in the Commons.

But they seem to be ruling out alignment as well. Fucking six toed evangelicals.

Fuck this for a game of soldiers. Now Davidson has jumped and finally leveraged her 12 MPs behind a pan UK soggy Brexit, if May doesn’t deliver will Ruthie be brave enough to bring it all down? The Govt could just try to soldier on minus DUP agreement through a minority dependant on Brexit support from Lab/Nats/LD/Ruth Davidson for First Minister Tory Faction/anyone who’s not fucking insane till the next budget. Labour probably want an election soon or not at all pre March ‘19. If you can’t seriously hope to influence the final result (and have to show your hand) with an election late next year, Labour will be blamed for whatever shit comes to pass. Leave the wankers all over it. Leave them needing consensus and every non rabid Tory or Dipshit Dupper vote to pass the Shitnami. Let Johnson and Mogg etc show their hand or shut the fuck up.

I don't know what is the more depressing. That the UK govt was prepared to tell the DUP this, or that Arlene repeated it in public. Is this the brexit equivalent of Piers Morgan's complaints about Jeremy Corbyn and Hector Bellerin?

Meanwhile, the Government's plans to join a European defence initiative almost slipped under the radar:

They are just flat out lying - and no-one seems prepared to hold them to account.

ain Duncan Smith again says the Irish are playing hardball on Brexit "for political reasons internally, presidential elections"

John Bickley is presentable by UKIP standards, hence they shunted him round by-elections like a Northern Farage. Got very close to winning once, and would have been UKIP's only MP not to have been a Tory MP before.

He's a walking reminder of the standard of people Cameron caved in to.

The Irish weren't supposed to be able to play tiddlywinks, let alone hardball with us.

These unchallenged lies are annoying, but this one makes his whole case look stupid.

Is the £1 billion nailed down? If it is, pay them in gay cake vouchers or something.

They should build proper Dublin- Belfast-Derry Infrastructure and ignore every one of their pork barrel bleats. Just take the fucking piss completely.

Iain Duncan Smith: EU needs to 'back off' or 'move on'
The former Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith has suggested the UK should walk away from the Brexit negotiations if the European Union does not change its position.
Speaking to the BBC’s political editor Laura Kuenssberg, Mr Duncan Smith said the EU needed to “back off” or the UK will “get on with other arrangements which are not going to be beneficial to you”.
He then looked in a mirror and reflected that he was still younger than Churchill in 1940.

He also complained that "this Irish stuff" wasn't such a problem a few months ago. What did he think John Major was telling him in the referendum? IDS got his start in politics pissing John Major about over Maastricht, so he should remember him.

well.... if the institutions are shut down, rather than suspended, you don't go to direct rule from london, you move to direct rule in consultation with the Irish Govt, through the British Irish intergovernmental council. Now that was built into the good friday agreement as the suicide pill to stop the Unionists from wrecking the institutions. I don't know if the DUP are aware of this. Now this institution is nebulous as things stand, and depends very much on the UK govt defining it, so lets just consider what happens if This govt collapses? Suddenly the DUP are reliant on Sinn Fein to save the institutions, or they are faced with the prospect of having Jeremy Corbyn defining the role of the Irish Govt in the running of Northern Ireland.

Did Foster scupper any deal at the last minute? This is how it's being portrayed in the media.
                                                    Or
Did May not tell them what was in the deal? Their incompetence makes this highly probable.

Finally, does Labour have a plan and is just waiting for the last minute once the Tories have completely imploded? Starmer seems to know what he's doing, at least I fucking hope so.
