Trump's Card

It appears that a couple of usually very Trumpy sources are coming down on the side of this actually being pretty thoroughly corrupt.
Ken Starr: "There is now proof that the President (Trump) committed the crime of bribery...This has been one of those bombshell days."
Drudge: Ambassador followed Trump's orders; Giuliani pushed quid pro quo; Pence knew.

I see it more as a symptom.
Nunes' nonsense goes back much further.
Remember the "midnight run" to the White House?

It's not a great look for Nunes or the Republicans. But given that they think of Jim Jordan as one of their star players, clearly they're not bothered by how they look.
It appears that the only time things are bad for Republicans is when they're in legal peril - the Roger Stone conviction appears to have bothered a few people who were previously dissembling to protect the President. And it's not clear that those recently caught trying to run shadow foreign policy for the benefit of Trump's election campaign - Nunes or Pompeo - are legally too much at risk.
