Chomsky makes a valid point. Trump has actually upped the sanctions on Russia. So where is the quid pro quo...

    Comment

Trump has slow walked the imposition of sanctions by Congress, and sought to dilute their application. it's not quite the same thing.

meanwhile his brain is turning to mush.

Closing the border is surely not serious given how much American capital flows across it.

Meanwhile Florida's HB 839 intends to impose a clearly unconstitutional survey on professors like me:

Should I be worried or will the courts throw it out?

Actually, getting confused about generational relationships does sometimes seem to be a sign of early-onset dementia.

Is it that early? I've seen plenty of clients with capacity issues in their early 70s. He's basically Reagan with access to Twitter.

Sorry, my bad. I meant to say early-stage rather than early-onset.

I don't think Trump cares about upsetting the Senate even if it makes his job harder. It's all about energizing the base for next year. Any madness goes if it achieves that aim.

Wouldn't suprise me if the craven fools he surrounds himself with are telling him that.

Shrugging off the possibility that his tweets might encourage someone to kill a member of Congress and lead to a spike in hate crimes generally...just another day at the office for Trump.

But if someone does carry out an assassination of a Democrat, what then? "It wasn't me"?

The initial four-page summary by Barr effectively freeing Trump from any wrongdoing...political spin gone wrong or what?

No potential impeachment issues so far in what we've been offered today but I just wonder what the Attorney General's role actually boils down to? How objective (good, fair, unbiased etc,) have previous holders of the office been?
