Surely there is some middle eastern wealth fund, looking for some way to give him money?

They'd both tell their fanbases that they'd won.

From my experience it will be tricky on multiple levels. It is a meme stock, it is a SPAC, the fundamentals are awful. It is *so much* of the float - I can only imagine how much of the average daily volume his position is, but it will be something that hurts anyone with an outlook on managing risk have their eyes burn.

it is also not helped that there have been a few catastrophic losses on very similar situations in recent years. Steinhoff has to be recent enough to scare folk.

I can’t see how anyone would lend 20% to get you to $500mm on this. And whoever does - if they do - will have their guy having to chase margin threatening to quit over it as you have basically gone and lent the house to a guy who is infamously tight on liquid funds to his latest sketchy “billions”.

To do it right you need to spend good money on lawyers.

Good to see that Faustian pact is nibble enough to move from real estate to politics to social media. The endgame must be a MAGA Church.

    Thank you.

The reporting on this has been execrable.
