...who's been staring a 500 error screen every time he's tried to look at a wsc.co.uk page for the last ten days?
I'll level with you, at first I thought the unthinkable, that WSC had bit the dust so abruptly that that they didn't even have time to tell us. However after a few days I tried the Facebook and Twitter pages, and realised no-one else was talking about an outage. So naturally paranoia kicked in and I assumed someone had activated a an extensive ignore poster function.
Fortunately a Facebook message from Clive reassured me that the problem was probably browser-specific; and sure enough, once I'd cleared my Chrome cookies, I was reunited with the WSC message board in a way that made the returning father scene in The Railway Children seem cold and impassive by comparison.
Anyway. Ten days off. I would like to think that those ten days were more productive given the absence of my main distraction but to be honest, I probably forlornly refreshed the 500 error page more frequently than I do Recent Topics.
