In fact the shameful vote last night already seems to have largely disappeared from news websites. But the fight goes on, apparently, and there's a petition going round.
Some of the arguments for the "no" vote seem at first to have plausible merit. But those arguments aren't being made, or considered sufficient, by anybody who is remotely trustworthy, rather just by the arseholes in Government and on the Tory benches who are using them as cover for the lack of compassion which is almost certainly their real motive.
