Panic on the streets of Nairobi...

...as six lions have escaped from the National Park and are roaming around in Langata.

Just around the corner from me, actually. I'm now going to read about the man with 300kg of buffalo meat.

Bollocks to it. More escaped wild animal news.

Psychopathic nutjob leopard that attacked six people in a school in India has escaped.

Officials say 'don't be frightened'. They're fucking joking, aren't they?

The video of that leopard attack was absolute nightmare fuel.

Might be about time to drop the first part of that username, VT.

It's been time for him to drop that part of his username since he first appeared on here meandering around the world's trouble spots.

Meanwhile, I love every line of that short article.

six lions that were roaming and causing panic along Southern bypass

reads like "people have been mauled on the A4142"

          But I particularly like

‘Members of the public walking in Langata estate during the day should be cautions and restrain from attacking the lions’ Paul Ndoto said.

Yes, you should restrain yourself from attacking lions. People need to be told this? They need to restrain from it? Not just, you know, not do it because it's utterly stupid?

They are essentially advising people that the authorities will look grimly on the lions being shot. A course of action which wouldn't be stupid from a personal safety perspective, but would be bad for conservation. That line is for the lions safety, not the humans.

Panic on the streets of Nairobi...

A few years ago a Lion was spotted in Nairobi. The newspaper reported that locals phoned the police to report a large dog on the loose.
