    Corb Blimey!

Piketty and Stiglitz both had queues around the block when they spoke at the LSE. It was like Spandau at the Scala.

I don't know how, 20 odd years ago, she'd have got started in LAs.

Anyway, she is good. See her in Select Committees last time.

No, nothing personal against here, as I say, and it is good to have someone who has had some experience in schools but it is just the fact that she is seen as unique just from having that experience.

I would genuinely be interested to see how she got onto LAs as it goes.

Labour streets ahead according to a poll quoted in, er, revolutionary socialism

Don't know if the link will take you to the right page but it quotes the latest IPSOS MORI poll.

Tories with mahoosive leads on the tiny issues of leadership and fitness to govern.

My read of that is a lot of people going "We like what you say, and we're definitely not going to vote for you."

Given that every newspaper has been screaming at us for months about how Corbyn is an idiot, a lunatic or a traitor, that must come as a massive surprise to you.

Meanwhile, Labour proving that whoever leads them, whatever their membership say, they'll still be fucking awful.

Yeah, unsurprising really even with the PM sticking his dick in a pig's mouth. Possibly because of due to more important stuff being overshadowed. As I have said, 5 years is a long time. If Labour don't give him that, they are dead.

I take the points, but if you look at all sets of questions and the whole article the picture is more positive for Labour.

I can't copy and paste on this tablet but it's where the link ends before 09. If anyone's interested.

                        That's it.

I agree Labour are still behind in important areas (!) but considering Corbyn is being vilified, it's not that bad.

The Revolutionary Socialism analysis is pretty daft. Though they do at least acknowledge this by pointing out the disparity between their analysis and the figures about voting intention (the "you have to question the sanity" bit).

Labour leads the Tories in stuff they always lead them in. Cameron leads on leadership, fitness to govern, and having the answers to Britain's problems. All sitting PMs score massively on the "out of touch" bit. But people do like Corbyn's honesty. Just not enough to want to vote for him.

Not that I heard. Especially with his digs about the SNP.
Should be trying to find common ground re. nuclear disarmament and future independence IMO.

JC far more generally impressive, just don't think he will ever resonate with the wider electorate.

                                    Sadly.

Railways to be renationalized. 5 years is a sensible timescale to do it.

It's not really true though as Corbyn said that there's "massive underinvestment" in railways or that it's "just been cut". What's happened is that passengers pay for lots of the railways in a way they didn't in the past. The balance of fares and subsidy was changed by Brown as late as 2007.

Given that Newtwork Rail is £37bn in (on national balance sheet) debt, is Corbyn really going to provide much more public investment?

Not impressed with this we were "at the edge of the abyss" stuff from Corbyn about the Crash.

                                        UK debt at Crash- 38%

2009- highest percentage of public investment in UK since 1975.

Brown really doesn't deserve this shit.
