Did you buy a ticket for that pig?

Some friends visited the Mittelaltermarkt in Speyer at the weekend, with their pet pig...

Odd, but apparently it hadn't been a problem on the way to Speyer. Heading home, the driver evidently only noticed the pig after they'd been on the train for half an hour or so. He then refused to leave Heidelberg station due to the presence of said pig.

Other passengers got involved in the discussions and in the end, twelve policemen arrived to escort four men and a pig from the train.

    All very strange...

Reminds me of that time as kids when my mum took my sister, me and Candy the dachshund to Weston super Mare on the coach.

The driver spotted the dog as we were boarding to return home and got stroppy with my mum. She invited him off the coach to sort it out but he wisely declined.

The bloke in Wrexham with a horse.

I once helped a mate move house by underground. We did it early on a Saturday morning so as not to bother weekday commuters and it was only two stops, but we still got grief off the transport staff. I coud just about understand it with the double mattress (although there was still enough space for people to get past us), but not with the standard-size cardboard boxes.

I saw someone not allowed on a bus the other day 'cos they were carrying (or rather trying to carry) a mattress.

I've mentioned this before, but a mate once saw a bloke bottle feeding a ferret on the train to Gillingham.

Our local rag had a front page story about a bloke not allowed on a bus with a sealed tin of paint a few years back.

Pigs and bunnies make for awkward pets, but unlike say cats, they're edible and very tasty.

Is it possible to have a pet racoon? I think I'd like one of those. They're so fucking cool, and they look like cartoon bankrobbers.

failing that, I think I'd like a Honey Badger (this is one of the most enjoyable animal documentaries I've ever seen)

Racoons are illegal as pets in Canada, but I've known people who've had them. Give the number we have right around our house, they might as well be pets. Just last week one spent the afternoon laying across the top of the kids' swing set, basking in the stinking heat. Couldn't be arsed about the kids or the cats or anything.

Metropolitan Toronto has the highest density of raccoons in the world.

A couple of years back there was a BBC film crew here filming a doc on them. They're bloody everywhere.

They should cut down on their travelling. That's probably why the BBC are always skint.
