1:33 people use foodbanks in Cardiff

Last night Cardiff Council tweeted a report from their business meeting that 10,708 people had been fed by a foodbank in Cardiff in the past year. More than 2,000 of those people were children.

Cardiff has an estimated population of 350,000 (just over 346,000 in the 2011 census).

Doing some rough maths that means about 1 in every 33 people in Cardiff has been fed by a food bank at some point in the past year.

Why provide from the state when the people will provide for each other?
