Enlargement of the moth's wing (up-thread.) Seriously neat. I must get a longer macro lens.

It is important to check the health of dogs' nasal cavities.

It's their most important sense so why not give it the weight it deserves?

                              Exactly.
                              Love the moth wing enlargement.
Ignorant question: what's a macro lens and what does a longer one do?

Macro lenses (or Micro if you own a Nikon) enlarge an object. The moth was taken with a 65mm Micro lens so I was able to get a clean, well defined photo of it's entire body. The close-up was starting to become pixelated (as you can see from the graininess in the second photo.) A 105mm Micro lens would enable me to focus closer and lose that pixelation. There are potential downsides, mostly to do with light (the lens is so close to the subject it can obscure the natural light source within the camera's shadow.)

Lang Spoon love your landscapes, maybe more Thomas Hardy than Merchant Ivory for me.

Amazing work on the thread lately.
