I'm stunned to learn that until now, asthmatic children aren't allowed to carry their inhalers in Canadian school systems.
In fact, even now Ryan's Law only applies to Ontario schools.
The thinking is that inhalers are considered to be prescribed medication, and must remain locked in the school office to be administered if required.
Naturally it takes a tragedy for change to occur.
I wonder if the same is true of Epi pens ?
