    PC Touchpad question

On the Acer PC the touchpad is behaving weird when I move around and click.
But only over the desktop. Once I'm on the internet or in a software it acts normal.

Over the desktop on the other hand, one left click makes that semi-transparent selection square you can size up and down for when you want to select multiple objects at once. One left click activates the selection box, moving around sizes it. If I click again it activates the options normally shown when you right-click.

I've connected a mouse and that behaves normal over the desktop.
I've entered settings in the control panel and reset to default the mouse click options.

    What coould be wrong, Obi-Wan?

I've also tried to update the driver but it says the current is the latest working.

No, switch it off and leave it off.

I did see someone somewhere suggesting removing it and cleaning it, or something.
